I am interested in volunteering as a coach/assistant coach, can I request to volunteer with a friend?
Yes. When indicating your interest to volunteer through the registration process, please include the position that you are interested in as well as the name of the individual who you wish to coach with. They will also need put this same information on their registration form. A copy of the volunteer police check form will be emailed to each volunteer.
Can I request to bump my child up or down to play in another age division?
No. All players will play in the appropriate division according to their birth year.
Are friend requests being considered?
No, TC Minor Soccer will not be accepting friend requests this year. Siblings playing in the same age division will be placed on the same team. However, please contact us if there are supervision concerns. The only way to facilitate players on the same team is for parents to commit to Head and Assistant Coach roles.
What if there are not enough players registered in a particular age group?
Soccer registrations are lower for players 14 years of age and older resulting in few TCMS house league teams for these players. TCMS explores opportunities for those affected players to join teams in neighbouring communities to ensure that all players have the opportunity to play even though we could not field a local team.
The TCMS Executive is willing to continue this practice and explore opportunities for those affected age groups as necessary.
We will reach out to parents/players before any arrangements are explored as additional fees may apply and TC Minor Soccer will not cover these costs.
